To rewind my week a bit, the PICC line came out of my arm a little sooner than planned as I started having some problems last Thursday and it was pulled due to concern of an infection (lovely). I was nervous about being taken off of the TPC and my medication so "cold turkey," but had been doing so much better last week that I thought I'd be able to handle it without ending back up in the hospital to have a new line put in. Friday was pretty rough (vomiting, etc.), but I woke on Saturday morning to a miracle: I felt good! It was strange to actually have a desire to get out of bed and venture out of my bedroom. The timing couldn't have been better as Rob and I had tickets to Coldplay for Saturday night. We had purchased these tickets last summer (a not normal splurge for us) and were planning to go to the concert together to celebrate Rob's birthday. Obviously as the date of the concert was approaching and my health was still not great I was planning to have to miss it, but was thrilled to actually feel good enough to go. Luckily I had an isle seat and was able to see the stage just fine while I was sitting down even with everyone else standing up. The show was so awesome and it was just wonderful to go out to dinner and to a concert with Rob and feel like a wife/normal person for the first time in a long long time.

Yesterday I went to church for the first time since September and today I was actually showered with my hair done and scrubbing the kitchen sink by 8:30am. I have done normal mom things like cut the kids fingernails and toenails (way overdue) and have basically enjoyed just being around my kids and feeling like myself (with the addition of a big tummy that just all of a sudden popped out this week).
I feel especially grateful this week (ironic that it is Thanksgiving week) for the big and little blessings that seem to have new meaning to me. I feel so happy and blessed today and just want to express my appreciation and my gratitude for life, health, love, family and friends.

I'm so glad that you are feeling better. I'm still available if you ever need help.
Yay! I had planned on calling you today to see how you're doing (and to see if you made it to the concert). I'm so happy to know you're feeling so great!
(I'll probably still call you-- Mike's got the car so I'm homebound today.)
Welcome back...
Sounds like you have turned the corner...I'm so happy for you!!
Oh, I hope you continue to feel better. What a relief it must be to be able to do things, even clean the kitchen sink.
Reading this brought tears to my eyes. Happy, happy, happy!!!! So glad you're feeling better, and that you got to go to the concert. Hope it just keeps getting better from here on out.
YEA! I saw you in church yesterday and thought you looked healthy. I am so glad and hope that it is all just uphill from here!!!!
It is great having you feel good again!!!
We love you.
I was so happy to hear from Rob that you are having more good days! It was good to see you at church on Sunday:)
Yay! I'm so happy you're feeling a little more normal. I guess that is what it takes to make you actually enjoy waking up and scrubbing the kitchen sink! Hee hee! No, really, I'm glad that you get a break from all of this. However, I'm sure there will still be some exhausting and less than normal days and so call me. I'm going to be stealing your kids a bunch anyway as it was so fun having them here. Yay for you!!!
It is so great to hear you are feeling better again! And what a fun date to get back out into the world! We love Coldplay! Welcome back!
What a great thanksgiving time post. It made me tear up too. There are so many things that I take for granted each day. I am so glad that you are feeling better. You are a beautiful person and I pray that your renewed health and strength will continue.
Yeah yeah yeah! I also loved seeing you in Primary on Sunday! Like everyone else I'm SO happy for you that you are doing better and that you got to have a taste or normal life again! The Coldplay concert sounded so fun! YEAH!!!!
I'm so glad you are feeling better. I was hoping your post would say you were doing better... but I was hoping it would say if you're having a boy or a girl. Do you know yet? Did I miss that post?
It was so good to see you again Sunday and I'm so very happy that you're feeling better. Hip hip horray!
What a rough go! I am glad to read that you are doing better. Lars went to Cold Play too! Loved it! Glad you could get out and feel a bit more "human". Happy Thanksgiving!
Congratulations, my friend! I was so overwhelmed reading the past several posts. I have had trouble updating my own lately let alone checking everyone's. I think I found Rachel on facebook. I sent a message. Maybe we can get back in touch with her. You will be in my prayers! It sounds like you are doing better. Wow.
I guess I would have to agree with everyone else who has made the comment that it was great to see you at church - up and around! And I am so glad that you are feeling better! I was way sick with Amanda's pregnancy and it was just like how you said you woke up one morning feeling better. I was sick from the day I hit 6 weeks up until the day I hit 17 weeks. It was like magic - it was over. I had a few more weeks of here and there nausea, but no more throwing up 10-20 times a day. Hopefully you will have the same luck and we are still crossing our fingers for a girl. But, I must say that you guys have made some pretty stinkin' cute boys, so either way - it will be a cutie!!
I think it was coldplay that made you feel better! Now I see why Rob likes them so much!
