I heart the '80s

If you still happen to have one of these...

it makes a great library bag.

I am so sad that I don't have my ESPRIT bag anymore! I feel a post dedicated to the 80's coming on myself because when I was in Aeropostal yesterday I saw zippers on the bottom legs of levis....striped levi's nonetheless! And let's talk about the leggings that are back in style! I swore I'd never wear bell-bottoms or flip my hair and I did that eventually so who knows....someday in the future you may just see me running around in tight little leggings!!! (or not!)

Oh I just had such the flashback. Lime green, big white letters...

Well, if you heart the '80's, you must heart NKOTB! Where's the love? (refer to my nerdy post earlier this week.) LOVE the Esprit bag! For some reason it remided me of my LA Gear shoes with hot pink and green laces. I must have worn them carrying my sweet bag a lot.

Aren't those Esprit bags still in style, oh I mean, yeah, I got rid of mine a long time ago (hee, hee). That would be a great library bag, nice and big! Okay, I don't know where to leave a memory of you (for Memory Tag), so I'll leave it here.
I loved when we were talking to Lenny Brinkerhoff about Benson, and she said she thought he was shy (or something to that effect,) and you looked at her all crazy and busted out,"Benson!" And we both started busting up so hard! I love that we share the same sense of humor. I also loved doing the triathalon with you. I cherish my picture at the finish line with you and I together! So fun! Simone

We went and saw BIG and Hale Center a few weeks back. They were all dressed in their 80's best. Bomber leather jackets, tuck and roll pants, units, chest high jeans. It was so much fun to see. However, at what point did it become that the youth of today are making fun of us - that's what we did to our parent's generation. I miss my ESPIRT bag! (And those LA Gear shoes. I thought I was something special when my mom bought me the LA Gear shoes) Thanks for the smile.

Mine was green with hot pink writing...yes I had one! In the 6th grade and I used that bad to shreds. Good memories for sure!

Oh, goodness. The second I saw that first picture, my mind shot back in time. Not only did I have the ESPRIT bag, but a shirt that I wore nearly everyday, too (paired with my favorite leggings, of course) And oh, the LA gear shoes, too! Peg-leg pants, jeans with zippers and bows on the bottom, hammer pants, donut rolled socks or the layered, scrunched-just-right socks.... Ahh- I don't miss those fashions one bit, but they sure are fun to remember, and I'm quite certain our kids will get a kick out of the pictures one day :)
