Rise and Shout

My mom and I had a "girls' night" out last night. Did we shop? No. Chick flick? No. Try out a new restaurant? No. We spent our evening at LaVell Edwards Stadium with 500 other female Cougar fans. La Vell Edwards himself (I think I almost fooled my Dad into thinking LaVell was there...this is just a photo of a painting hanging in the Cougar Club)

We took a tour of the locker room and press boxes, heard from several of the coaches and players and had a great time in general. I've always joked that my mom "bleeds blue" and so this was fun to go to with her and to spend time visiting. I wouldn't consider myself a huge football fan compared to some, but I did make the trip to Vegas when I was going BYU to watch BYU play Wyoming for the Championship game and had a blast. I also can't deny the fact that I get teary when the players and cheerleaders run onto the field at the beginning of each game...what can I say? The leaky eye trait runs in my "blue" blood too.

I took several photos (mostly for my Dad and brother), here are a few:

Me in the locker room (isn't it nice that they usually separate showers into stalls for women?)

Sitting in the middle of the field where all the magic happens...Game one's in 29 days, get ready!

You and your mom are so cute! How fun to have a girls night out with her! Both my parent's went to BYU and "bleed blue" and to their disappointment none of their 7 kids followed in their footsteps.

Brody went to the U.....

I bleed blue too. Go Cougars! One of the first things we did when we found out we were moving to Utah is buy season football tickets. I think I am going to have to go to the women's night next year. Looks fun!

Hey Tamsen!

Go Cougs! I'm so mad you didn't invite me to a day of bleeding blue. FYI: Tyler just told me that he had a "dream" about you last night. Call me for the great details! =)

What a fun time with your mom! I think I went to a U game once when I was in college and have not once watched a game on TV so I'm way out of the loop her, but I'd take a girls night out doing anything anytime! Too fun!

Fun girls night even if you bleed blue.
