In my dreams

I've had some unusual dreams lately...the night before last I dreamed that a fire started in my kitchen and I was forced to make the decision on whether or not I should try to put it out (it was spreading quickly) or if I should just run upstairs and pull my sleeping children out of the house before it got worse--knowing that our house was going to burn to the ground. Obviously I woke up very worried and relieved that this was only a dream.

I laughed in contrast this morning when I awoke remembering my dream from last night. I was somewhere (can't remember where) and saw one of the "Jonas Brothers." Let me say right now that I know NOTHING about this boy band, besides the fact that they are really brothers. Truthfully, I have fast-forwarded over every performance they have done on TV (during American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance), and I doubt that I've ever heard any of their songs... Anyway, one of the Jonas Brothers (I wouldn't know which one, or any of their names for that matter) approached me in my dream and asked me out on a date. I am laughing so hard over this: my mind's subconscious attempt at flattery.
I'm getting more aware of the fact that I'm getting older, even though my brain is still in denial. I recognize that although 33 isn't old, it certainly isn't 18. Just to prove my point, a few weeks ago I was at a planning meeting for an upcoming "roadshow" that our church is doing. We have been assigned the story of "Cinderella" and we were discussing the script and the cast. I was asked to play a part in the show, and was expecting the person asking me to say the part of Cinderella, but they asked me to play the part of the "Fairy Godmother." It was one of those moments when you realize, wow. I guess I'm looking older than I feel. At least I have my dreams to keep me young--and delusional.

I had to laugh about that whole roadshow fairy godmother bit on your post. You would've made a lovely Cinderella as well!!! (Keep me posted on the music!)

I had to think that you should just be grateful that you weren't asked to be the wicked stepmother. Then you'd have to be concerned that not only are you old, but mean too!

Be glad you have never had to suffer through any Jonas Bros. music. It makes me crazy! Sadly I have a pre-teen who likes to listen to such stuff. She loves Radio Disney.

How does Rob feel about you going out with the Jonas Brothers? Unfortunately I have learned a lot more than I would like about them these past few weeks since we discovered Hannah Montana - apparently they go together. If you have any questions, give Whitney a call, she'll fill you in on anything you need to know.

LOL!!! I so wish I could better remember my dreams. They tidbits I do remember occasionally crack me up and I think having dreams to laugh about all day just might be the pick-me-up I need each day! Too cute!

Good luck old lady being the godmother. I guess that shows that you are a true actress when you could play both parts equally well! Too fun. I saw that announced, but didn't realize until yesterday that it is so soon. I feel so detached sometimes running around to different wards. Take care, cutie!

Oh, and thanks again so much for watching my kids last week. I did end up going to that place by chervron by the way and it was a luxurious break! Thanks!

Oh Tamsen, you are NOT old. You do not LOOK old. I just knew that we needed someone who was daring enough to sing Bipity Bopity Boo (I have no idea how to spell it :) and since you already knew the words AND you are daring enough to do it, it just made sense. But no, you are nothing like the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. Not one bit. I just had to say it :)
