Well, there is a first time for everything. Miracle of miracles, Hewitt got "caught being reverent" in church today. He also said the opening prayer in Primary and was very excited about it and did a good job. He continues to say sweet and funny things and is really growing up lately. When he said his personal prayers before going to bed on Friday night he said, "Heavenly Father, please have Jesus help me."
Here is Hewitt proudly holding his "CBR (Caught Being Reverent)" shield:
In this photo Hewitt is standing in front of our Rose of Sharon tree that just got its first blooms over the weekend...I've been anxiously waiting for this "first" for a few weeks now.

YEAH!!!! Hewitt makes me smile every time I see him on the front row in Primary. He really earned that CBR today...he was excellent!! Also, when I asked what we had been learning about in Primary this month he answered (without any help might I add) that we've been learning about missionaries! I was amazed that he answered before any of the older kids. I had him be my helper for "Do As I'm Doing" and he chose to stomp our feet. He was adorable! You have a cute little boy!!! (Burke cracks me up too. He was so proud of Hewitt when he got his award! Hewitt looked for him and then they smiled at eachother! I'm excited for my boys to grow up and be buddies like them!)
He is growing up so much. I think he looks more and more like Burke everytime I see him. Your yard is looking fabulous to BTW.
It's always so fun to see when a plant does well and blooms like it's supposed to! Horray for surviving plants!
Hewitt looks so CUTE with his little award. I love the new picture of the boys on the trampoline on your sidebar too!
Congratulations Hewitt!!!
That's so cute! I'm going to have to let our primary president know about that idea- "CBR" :)
Well....at least you know he knows his letters!!! The "Letter O toast"!!! That is hilarious! And what an absolute doll he is. Congrats to his CBR!!! Go Hewitt!
Wow! Could Hewie be any happier/prouder?! What a great picture. How many "CBR" shields do they give out? Is it just one a Sunday? It's a great idea, I can think of a few kids in our ward who could use the motivation! ; )
Good Job Hewitt! And I'm so jealous...my Rose of Sharon hasn't bloomed yet. Darn north facing house!
your kids need to teach my kids well at least lizzie. we lasted 5 minutes in sacrament sunday. oh well were getting there. good job mom
Hi, guys! Tamsen, you don't know me but I actually know Rob from a LONG time ago. He, Dan, Tate, Loni, and I were good buds in Helaman Halls. I found your site via the Seguine's blog. I LOVE this CBR thing. Is that something your primary does? We are always looking for new ideas, since we've got an especially fidgety boy that just doesn't like church. Come visit us at theloosefamily.blogspot.com when you get a chance, and tell Rob hello from Melissa Posey (now Loose) and Rob Loose (I think he'll remember when he sees the photo on our blog.
