In general, Tosh is climbing every pantry, every closet, every counter, and every you-name-it to get into things that he knows he shouldn't. Some of his recent discoveries and accomplishments just this week include:
Stacking up a bunch of pillows so he could climb on top of the counter in the master bathroom to get into the medicine cabinet (I don't really keep any medicine in there). He took my deodorant out and "drew" all over the leather furniture in our loft.
He also discovered an almost-new bottle of fingernail polish remover and dumped the entire contents on the carpet in the master bedroom.
He emptied the entire contents of a new bottle of saline nasal spray--spraying his brothers and the entire play room.
He colored on about 5 different walls upstairs, the tile floor, and granite counters...thank heaven for Magic Erasers!
He throws food, dumps drinks on purpose, loves "potty talk" (this is a new one), taking off his clothes, and making messes in general.
Really, Tosh? Give me a break already!
Wow, this post makes it look I am never around! The thing is that I am usually standing right next to him when these things happen, or just away for a couple of moments!
Just tonight at dinner he grabbed a white kitchen towel and dipped it into the ketchup on his plate (making a big mess of course).
Never before have I envied the superpowers of "Elastigirl" (the mom on the "Incredibles") as much as I have lately. Generally I can see these instances coming, but just can't get there in time to prevent the mess.
(Seriously moms out there, wouldn't these stretchy arms be so helpful?)It was quiet for a few minutes this afternoon so I went to check on Tosh and found him like this on his brother's bed (I had to sneak away to grab my camera and sneak back in):
Even though this one can be a real handful at times, he is awfully sweet and such a funny and happy kid.

AMEN! on the terrible 3s thing. Cute last photo-- definitely perfect for the slideshow at his 18th birthday party... ; )
I'm still laughing over that picture. Gotta love those little boys!
Oh, goodness. Cindy Lou is busy, but not like Tosh!
The other day I called the little kids to come down for a snack, and the Wizard came down but not Cindy Lou. When I went to find her, she was naked in her room, a clean diaper on the floor. She had sat on the potty all by herself, flushed, washed her hands, and I guess was trying to figure out how to put her diaper on. I'm just thankful she didn't try to wipe her own bum!
Awesome picture. He and Wade would have fun together!
I completely agree about the terrible threes and having the powers of Elastigirl! You have a very funny, busy boy on your hands!
That is the funniest picture, he wanted to be comfortable while reading. Age 3 is tough, especially at the beginning. Good thing he is so dang cute.
For some reason, I think I'm seeing my future. But what a cute bum! ;)
He is the greatest! Wouldn't you like to know what goes on in his curly little head?
I'm exhausted just reading about Tosh's adventures! How do you to it, Tamsen?
I agree with the terrible three's, and we are right there with you! Acutally, thankfully, she just turned 4 and is hopefully past that messy, yet amazingly funny and frustrating road! The pic is cracking me up. Ours just runs around without a shirt on, for now...luckily!
love the picture! and i can totally relate! luke's a HANDFUL right now. if i can't see him he is 9 times out of 10 doing something naughty. and the potty talk thing is awful with my boys. UGH! at least we know this stage passes! hang in there!
Seriously, those arms would be helpful! Love the nude shot. Looks like something my Lisee would do. She's a handful.
oh my gosh that's funny from a reader's perspective, but not funny if you are the Mom!!! I'm sorry. I agree, 3 years old is much, much harder than 2 years old. They are so much more innocent at 2! Hang in there! 4 years old is much better! :)
